Smart, focused and consistent
Ecological sustainability is about thinking smart, focusing on what has the greatest impact, and acting consistently. But it is also a matter of quality – high-quality products have a longer lifespan, which means fewer garments are discarded. That is why we have made strategic decisions about the areas where we can make the most difference – transport, production, and material waste.

With the production close to us
All textiles and other materials come from carefully selected and audited European suppliers. By keeping transport distances short from suppliers to our production facility in Latvia, we reduce our carbon footprint. Since our products are manufactured either in our Latvian factory or by carefully selected European subcontractors, the transportation of finished products to our central warehouse in Borås is also short and efficient. To further reduce delivery times and our environmental impact, an increasing share of our products is shipped directly from production to customers. Everything in our production chain happens close to us, with minimal transportation.

Minimal waste
Another important consequence of owning our production is that we can maintain an efficient process with short lead times, tailored to our customers’ needs. This allows us to work with small production volumes, minimizing the risk of overproduction. Additionally, we actively work to minimize waste and optimize material efficiency. We achieve this by continuously reviewing pattern cutting to reduce material waste and limiting the number of different materials we use. Any leftover fabric, lace, and accessories are 100% donated to design schools, where students and teachers use them for education and design projects. This not only ensures that all materials are repurposed but also supports the next generation of professionals in our industry.

Enviromentally conscious choices

This allows us to work with small production volumes, minimizing the risk of overproduction. Additionally, we actively work to minimize waste and optimize material efficiency. We also actively work to make environmentally conscious material choices and constantly search for new, innovative materials. All our materials are tested according to the Öko-Tex Standard, which ensures that they do not contain any harmful substances. Additionally, we use Fairtrade-certified cotton in most of our cotton garments and are continuously increasing our use of organic cotton.
